The renowned 360 degrees presenter and popular announcer and news reader at the Derana TV station married his longstanding boy friend, by profession an environmentalist, by name Chandana Asela. After the religious ceremonies held at the Gangaramaya temple the wedding was held at the small island in the Beira LakeDilka had met her fiancé Chandama Asela when she was an Advanced level student who had visited the Association of Young Zoologists, where Chandana had been a prominent member, to study about animals for her exam.
